Track machine stabling – Branxton and Muswellbrook

We continually operate track machines across the network to improve track conditions and allow safer, more reliable, and quieter rail operations.
This means track machines need to be stabled in sidings for routine maintenance.
The machines will be stabled at Branxton and Muswellbrook from 7:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November.
You may notice increased noise during maintenance as our machines need to keep idling so we can check that all the electrical components are operating correctly.
To reduce noise impacts, we will stable at a location away from residents where possible.
