Rail Grinding Work – Victorian Network

ARTC continually operates track machines across the network to improve track conditions and allow safer, more reliable, and quieter rail operations.

We will be completing rail grinding work across our Victorian network between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm daily from Tuesday 20 June until Wednesday 28 June 2023.
The rail grinding machine will be stabled overnight for essential maintenance during this period at Horsham, Maroona, Inverleigh, Gheringhap, Seymour, Violet Town, Benalla and Albury. It will be noisy during machine maintenance as the engine will be left running to allow us to check that all the components of the machine are operating correctly. We will stable away from homes and buildings where possible, however some residents will be impacted.

We will be working hard to minimise any disruptions to the community, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while this important work is completed.
