Major maintenance closedown – Hunter Valley to Narrabri

We will be completing essential track maintenance at multiple locations between the Hunter Valley and Narrabri from 6:30am on Tuesday 19 November to 6:30am on Friday 22 November 2024. Work at some locations will be at night.
Closed lines include Warabrook to Muswellbrook, Muswellbrook to Ulan and Muswellbrook to Narrabri Coal.
We often start minor preparation work and material deliveries in the lead up to the closedown. Site clean-up may continue for several weeks after the work is completed.
There may be some traffic impacts, it will be noisy at times and some dust may be generated.
We are committed to reducing the impacts of noise, dust and light from our work wherever possible, including positioning light towers to shine away from residences, watering down work areas and limiting the number of machines operating at any one time.
