Major maintenance closedown – Kooragang to Narrabri and Ulan

We will be completing essential track maintenance at multiple locations from Kooragang to Narrabri and Ulan from 6:30am on Tuesday 1 October to 6:30am on Friday 4 October 2024. Work at some locations will be at night.
The track will be closed between Kooragang and Muswellbrook, and west to Ulan and north to Narrabri.
We often start minor preparation work and material deliveries in the lead up to the closedown. Site clean-up may continue for several weeks after the work is completed.
There may be some traffic impacts, it will be noisy at times and some dust may be generated.
We are committed to reducing the impacts of noise, dust and light from our work wherever possible, including positioning light towers to shine away from residences, watering down work areas and limiting the number of machines operating at any one time.
