Level Crossing Maintenance- Lara

Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) will be carrying out scheduled level crossing maintenance at Canterbury Road Level Crossing and Plains Road Level Crossing. Works will commence 8:00pm Saturday 22nd June 2024 and continue through to 9:30pm Sunday 23rd June 2024
We will begin mobilising to site and carrying out minor preparation work in the days prior to the maintenance work commencing. Site clean-up will commence following the maintenance work and will be completed during standard construction hours.
How could this work affect you?
It will be noisy at times, and some dust may be generated. Please be assured that we will implement measures to manage and minimise these impacts on the community where possible.
The level crossings will be closed for the duration of the work, with a detour via Forest Rd, Station Lake Rd and Rennie St in place for Canterbury Rd. While Plains Rd access will be closed from Mill Rd
Please keep to the speed limits and follow the direction of the traffic controllers and signs.
We will turn off machinery when not in use, arrange work in stages and/or phase the equipment used at one time to reduce noise impacts where possible.
The movement of materials and machinery on site may result in the generation of dust. We will take practical measures to reduce the amount of dust produced by our works where possible.
If light towers are required to ensure a safe work environment during the works, we will position the light towers so that light is directed away from residences.
