Essential railway maintenance works – Macarthur to Moss Vale

The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is advising that we will be carrying out various track maintenance and improvement works in the Maldon, Tennessee, Yerrinbool, Mittagong, Bowral & Burradoo areas from 2200pm on Friday the 2nd February 2018 continuous until 0200am on Monday the 5th of February 2018.
In order to complete these works safely and efficiently the works will take place during a track closedown which will see both day, and to a lesser extent, night works involved, with machinery and equipment in use at various locations during this period. Some work may be continuous over the shutdown.
Some noisy works may take place overnight, and there will be associated truck and maintenance-related work vehicles accessing sections of the rail corridor as well as the movement of equipment and materials.
ARTC will be endeavouring to minimise any related issues and disruptions the works may cause and appreciates your patience and understanding during this period.
We apologise for any inconvenience the work causes. The upgrades are important to keep the railway safe and reliable for freight and passenger trains.
