Emergency Works- Cootamundra Yard

Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) will be carrying out emergency repairs within the rail corridor at Cootamundra Yard following damage to our asset from a derailment that occurred 21 May 2024. ARTC apologises for any disruptions while emergency repairs are carried out within the rail corridor.

The Emergency Works will be commencing Saturday 25 May 2024 and continue until repairs are completed. The expected duration is for two weeks, generally dayshift 06:00 – 18:00 each day.

Nightworks may be required at times to make a safe working environment depending on train movements.

How could this work affect you?

The work will involve the use of machinery, vehicles and plant which will generate some noise. We will turn off machinery when not in use, arrange work in stages and/or phase the equipment used at one time to reduce noise impacts where possible. Light towers may be established for night works in support of works.

The movement of materials and machinery may result in the generation of dust. We will take practical measures to reduce the amount of dust produced by our works where possible.

If traffic controllers and temporary signage is required, this will be used to safely guide all road users around any changed traffic conditions. Please keep to the speed limits and follow any directions provided by traffic controllers.
