Bridge Maintenance, Picton NSW

Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) will be carrying out bridge maintenance activities at Picton, NSW during September 2024. The works will be performed outside of standard hours as follows.

11-13th September – Dayshift 06:00 – 18:00hrs (preparation works)
13th-16th September – Continuous works commencing 18:00hrs through to 02:00hrs
16-18th September – Dayshift 06:00 – 18:00hrs (Demobilisation works)

ARTC will begin mobilising to site and carrying out minor preparation work prior to the work commencing and there is planned clean-up in the days following. From time to time, residents may also receive additional notifications from ARTC for other packages of rail maintenance works performed this year. Any additional notifications provided should be read in conjunction to this notification.

How could this work affect you?
The work will involve the use of machinery, vehicles and plant which will generate some noise. We will turn off machinery when not in use, arrange work in stages and/or phase the equipment used at one time to reduce noise impacts where possible. Light towers may be established for night works in some locations.

The movement of materials and machinery may result in the generation of dust. We will take practical measures to reduce the amount of dust produced by our works where possible. Traffic controllers and
temporary signage will safely guide all road users around any changed traffic conditions. Please keep to the speed limits and follow the direction of the traffic controllers and signs.

ARTC will be working hard to minimise any disruptions this work may cause and appreciates your patience and understanding while this important work is completed.
