Best practice safety and environment standards are crucial for a resilient, reliable and efficient rail network, which is why we’re thrilled to welcome Peter Clements to ARTC.
As our new Group Executive Safety & Environment, Peter brings a wealth of international experience across safety, health and sustainability, including previous leadership roles with NBN Co, John Holland and Lendlease.
“I’m excited to join ARTC and be part of the modal shift to rail that’s happening in Australia,” said Peter.
“Compared to other modes of transport, rail offers so many freight and passenger benefits, including safety and environmental advantages, which I’ll be doing everything I can to improve and protect for our people, customers and communities across the country.”
Originally from the UK, Peter is based in Melbourne where he lives with his wife Marisa and their two teenage children.
He’s looking forward to working with our teams and stakeholders nationally – including customers, contractors and industry partners – to drive our ongoing efforts to keep people safe in the rail corridor, and to manage and minimise any environmental impacts from our operations.
