The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has started repairs to the rail line at Nana Glen after all the rollingstock on site was removed from the track.
Our priority now is to restore the rail line as safely and as quickly as possible, which will involve re-building of approximately 300 metres of track that was damaged.
The expected timeframe for the recovery of rail operations is this weekend, however this remains dependent on weather conditions.
ARTC works will be occurring at every available opportunity that weather permits from now until the resumption of rail operations.
We would like to thank the community and our customers for their continued patience and understanding while the repair effort is ongoing.
All train services in and out of Nana Glen remain suspended.

Quick facts:
- Approximately 100 workers on site
- 1500 tonnes of ballast from local quarries around Coffs Harbour has been brought on to the site.
- 800 metres of rail was transported by train from Port Augusta in South Australia, which arrived on Tuesday night.
- 600 sleepers from Grafton have been transported to the derailment site ready to be laid.
